Daniell’s Tavern – Pan Indian restaurant at The Imperial recreates the epic journey of Thomas and William Daniell- an uncle nephew duo who travelled across the length and breadth of India many years ago, capturing some of the finest regional favorites from all those places that left an everlasting impression on their minds. The new avataar of Daniell's Tavern traces some of the finest regional fares from the epic journey. These include the East India Soup (Jehangiri Shorba) or Mulligatawny Soup (for the vegetarians), which are excellent orders before the actual 'Journey Begins'. Other similar delights are the Angrezi Sahib's Choice (kosha mangsho), Burra Memsahab's Favourite (pepper mutton) and Barrackpore's Favourite (mochar ghonto). The Imperial offers an ode to the wonderful journey of Hindoostan and presents this exceptional tour in the form of art and cuisine to diners at Daniell's Tavern.

Great care has been taken to ensure that the ingredients are in consistency with the permissible spices for the fasts and give you a satiating dining experience. 1911, the all day dining restaurant at The Imperial New Delhi, captures the exotic flavours of Kashmir, a heavenly paradise in a ten-day long promotion. Recreating heaven on earth in its true form, the festival offers an extravagant culinary fare, soulfully laid out in an attractive brunch buffet which includes delectable spread of dishes popularly influenced by Kashmiri pundits, with one section specifically dedicated to dishes from the traditional thali called 'Wazwan'.
Wazas from the valley, who have mastered the art of making Kashmiri cuisine, have been specially flown in by The Imperial to give the guests, a taste of authentic Kashmiri food. Chef Shafi Khan, our Guest Chef will highlight the key ingredients like asafoetida, fennel seeds powder and other addictive spices, such as dried ginger and aniseed. The fare at San Gimignano will be presented by our Master Chef Rolando from Florence, Italy, called especially to create an authentic culinary extravaganza. The menu will surprise the guests with the much loved Italian delicacies like Antipasti insalata di radicchio- salad of radicchio with anchovies, hazelnuts and egg, tempting variety of soups such as Zuppa di lenticchie-lentil & sweet red pepper soup with black pepper and cumin, along with delectable main courses like Brasato di funghi al valpolicella con crostino agillato(V)- wild mushroom stew in valpolicella with garlic crouton.

Sri Lankan Food Festival - 15th - 30th September 2010.
This unique 15 day long festival presented with sizzling Sri Lankan treasures and exciting delicacies created meticulously by a renowned Sri Lankan Chef specially flown in for this gastronomical fare. The entire gourmet experience is cooked with original ingredients from the country paired with traditional cooking to enhance the quality, flavour and taste of the specialities from this land of spices. The guests can choose from the A La Carte lunch or dinner menus ranging between Rs. 700 AI to Rs. 2500 AI, combined with impeccable service, truly The Imperial way.

OktoberFest – 26th Sept-4th October’10.
OktoberFest is a 16-day festival held each year in Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to early October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year. The OktoberFest is an important part of Bavarian culture.
1911 Bar bejeweled with Colonial and art deco elements brings to you this heavenly culinary and Beer trip from Germany. It is marked with lot of traditional cuisine lovingly created by our German Chef Jan Seibold such as Crisp fried savoury pastries, filled with gruyere cheese spread in starters and snacks, Crumb fried cuts of baby goat, served on potato- rucola salad and Roast baby chicken in main course along with sumptuous dessert options. The menu makes a sizzling combination with a glass of German wheat bee ‘Paulaner’, specially flown in from the country for this festival.

The Imperial has recently introduced the ‘Culinary Club’, an initiative to share with our patrons the finer nuances filled with rich and mysterious secrets of what makes ‘The Imperial’ cuisine so sought after!
A unique and interactive platform to capture the culinary interest of cooking enthusiasts, it is a fortnightly affair. Executed with the presentation of culinary treasures in a live cookery show, each session is full of exciting cuisines made either by the in-house Chefs and the Senior Vice President who started his career as a chef and highly skilled guest Chefs on special occasions. The Culinary club is a brainchild Mr. Vijay Wanchoo, Sr. VP & GM at The Imperial, New Delhi. He believes “No hotel is doing it in Delhi right now. We would have our own niche.”
Since the first session on ‘Thai cuisine’ conducted by the in house Chef de Cuisine – Chef Veena Arora, the popularity has been tremendous. Thereafter we have conducted varied classes like – West German cuisine; Lebanese cuisine, Traditional continental, Home-made Chocolates, Kashmiri, Xmas temptations etc. While Thai and other prominent cuisines and more are on the pipeline as per guests demand.
While participants pay a nominal fee ranging between Rs.1500/- to Rs.2,000/-(including taxes) per session depending on the cuisine, the privileges that they derive at this cost are enthralling. Apart from viewing a live cookery show in a classy five star set up followed by lunch, each member receives an F&B privilege card and if lucky enough can win four complimentary meal for two dining vouchers valid at any of The Imperial restaurants.
